About Me

Welcome!

I'm Rachel and I am {ahem} 30 years old. I am a Minnesota born, Indiana raised, Cleveland educated, and now Virginia residing wife and mom. My husband, Adam, and I live in the 'burbs just outside of Richmond and have been married since September of 2004. After much prayer and waiting, our little girl, Adeline (pronounced Ada-lynn), was born in May of 2011. We love our life here in Virginia and have enjoyed putting our roots down in "the South". While are families are not nearby, the Lord has blessed us with a wonderful church family and many dear friends here in Richmond.

{Fun fact: My husband was talking to me about writing this "About Me" information and he asked me if I was going to mention him. I asked him if there was anything he would want people to know about him. He told me to describe him as a "Financial Cowboy". Seriously, Adam? Financial Cowboy? So there you have it. My husband is a financial cowboy. And while he does have a job in finance, I'm not quite sure where the cowboy part fits into any of that.}

In February, after a 6 month return to work following my maternity leave, I left my job with a local investment firm so I could stay home full time with my little sidekick. In many ways my days as a stay at home mom are just as demanding, but I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days with Adeline.

I have dabbled in blogging in the past, but mostly just as a means to keep friends and family in the loop about our life in Virginia. And let's just say that I did a very sub-par job of actually keeping them all informed via the blogosphere. Still, I am an avid blog reading and look forward to clicking on my "Google Reader" each evening. It relaxes me, entertains me, gives me food for thought, and oftentimes makes me laugh out loud. I so enjoy reading all of your blogs. I am so excited about venturing into the blogosphere again. I hope you like what you read here. I will probably cover everything under the sun and then some.

I would love to hear from you - let me know what you think. And if you do like what you read, please share my blog with your friends.

Blessings!
